It was a snowy, peaceful, magical time during the holidays here in Lac-Beauport. Our days were spent getting ready for Christmas, puttering in and around the house, enjoying each other's company and the nearby trails, and continuing prep for baby's arrival.
I felt so spoiled on Christmas morning: this is the scene we woke up to after Santa's night-time visit. He really knows me well... I am still in shock over the antique spinning wheel that he restored for me in his workshop (downstairs ;) And we were so grateful for the packages sent by our parents and friends, thank you!!! It really meant a lot to us, while being so far from everyone at this most special time in our life.
Dinner was a great feast: we invited over 5 friends who were also staying in town. Rob did a fabulous job with our 20 lb, free-range turkey (the only one left at the butcher's!), which we stuffed using my Nanny Pearle's recipe.

It's getting harder to walk around in the snow now in this final stage of pregnancy. Rob heads out for a hike or at least some outdoor work around the house every day, and I've been going along for short jaunts as much as possible (evidence from a recent snowshoe outing).
You can see why I'm not feeling too spry... here's the "bedaine" (belly) at 37 weeks. That means he's full term now — and don't worry, we'll let you know when the lil gaffer arrives ;)
