What ‘cold weather’ project are you looking forward to making the most this autumn?
Well that's a piece of cake: hands down (oops, no pun intended), the knitting I'm doing for the Warm Hands Network (see my recent posts below). This is an effort — organized by two super cool gals in Ottawa — to collect warm woollies for Innu children in Labrador. Love love love!
In particular I'm making this pair of ribbed socks that are frankly turning out downright adorable. Imagining the smile on some kid's face when they get a cozy new pair of purple socks to wear this winter... well, it's giving me little tingly goosebumps. Today I was knitting away on them at lunch and one of my coworkers said "tu prepares pour l'hiver déjà?" (getting ready for winter already?).
Yeah, kinda ;) <3
