Last weekend was Parc Jacques-Cartier just north of the city. Super quiet because the fall colours have mostly passed, and the parks here close for the fall because of low visitation (hhmph!). The topography is gorgeous, with peaks that actually make you crane your neck to see the top. Unlike relatively flat Ontario.
All kinds of narrow waterfalls were trickling down the rock faces, and a burst of afternoon sunshine was an unexpected treat. But we really lucked out by coming across a bull moose on our return hike. Here's me hoping buddy (the black smudge, left of my head) doesn't decide to start moving from his lounging spot, and a close up of his cute little face.
Sad to report that sweet Azul has gone to hatchback heaven. He was a good and faithful friend to various family members: for 15 years he drove around Mom & Ken, Aunt Blanche, and then me. After 270,000 km I guess he deserves a rest. One last look for old time's sake, sniff! (Jane took this shot, Parkdale circa 2006). Take 'er easy, Dude :)

RIP to your car. Will you be getting another?
Nah, not right now. Public transit, bike, and renting for weekend getaways :)
